The 300hp engine is a special-build engine and is rated as an off-road engine. It requires a larger turbo with headers, an electronic ECM update, larger exhaust, converter and muffler.  Locating the turbo on the driver’s side and not in the rear allows for increased air flow, making the engine run cooler.  The performance increase of the 300hp engine is dramatic for a vehicle of this size.

NOTE – This engine should be installed by a professional installer.

It is possible to put twin turbos on an H1. You’ll need to have the headers custom fitted in a shop.
It’s a time consuming process and we estimate the cost to be in the neighborhood of $3000-$4000
