I purchased the Exhaust Elbow - 90 deg. 5" cuff (Shortened and it fir on my 8.2 Detroit fuel pincher perfectly. I had to purchase a longer 5" rubber hose but much better than having one made for 2000 dollars.

Bob,

Hp increase over stock 6.5 is 70 to 90 hp depending on calibration.
The longevity increases due to more air in and reduced restriction less than 1" Hg on the exhaust.
Engine runs cooler due to cooler exhaust headers, cooler in the turbo and in the exhaust pipe.
Air cleaner really needs to looked at for size and quite large pipe from air cleaner to turbo.
CFM of the turbo is now like a DuraMax or Cummins up to 780CFM.

Regards,

Matt

I own a 1986 Chevy military 1008. The glow plug controller is junk and I am trying to convert it to a 1992 civilian type of controller. Any info would be appreciated. Otherwise I would like to purchase your products and install a stand alone system. Thank You.

What is the hp increase over a stock 6.5? Does it reduce longevity of the engine?

I have a Trek 33' rear engine and the 190hp just hasn't been adequate.

Bob -

We've never done a project that involved a diesel V6. I'm not sure where you saw it, but it wasn't us.

Thanks for the inquiry though.

About a year ago or more I remember seeing a writeup in one of the more popular marine magazines about a new engine you were introducing. At least I'm pretty sure it was Peninsula Diesel. The engine was a V6. Was this just a prototype? Did I dream the whole thing? I have not seen anything else about it anywhere, including here.

Bill,

The engine is rated at 270 Horsepower. You may get a little more than that depending on how it's tuned. Fuel burn depends on weight, speed, prop slip, and prop selection. Our guess would be in the neighborhood of 10 gallons per hour per engine.

We think we know the boat you're looking at. Please give us a call if you have any questions (616) 530-1298.

Hi, I have not heard of Peninsular diesels befor today. I had a marina in St augustine i the 70s and worked on cats, jimmies, cummins, but never saw a Peninsular until today when I was looking at a 28 1987 Bertram and it has a par of 270's in it. What kind of power can I get from them and fuel useage
